Baptiste Cothenet is a multidisciplinary artist whose work currently comprises drawing, jewelry design, fashion design, graphic design and collage.

Born in French countryside in Burgundy during the 90's, at the dawn of the year 2000, he is a child of the new millennium. He grew up under the influence of the pop culture resulting from an expanding consumer society. He feel like a witness to a world where everything seems to be accessible, and where the field of possibilities seems unlimited.

In 2020, inspiring to launch his own line of jewelry and luxury clothing. Baptiste begins the process of creating his own brand BAPTÊME.

Baptiste’s work explore the dual worlds in which we exist - our inner lives and the changing world around us. Its work represent the landscape of the psyche, the place where the conscious and unconscious meet, where outside forces and our own human nature collide as we grapple with our place in an ever-changing and reactive environment. Baptiste’s work includes an analysis of the relation between dystopian fiction, the realities experienced by a young adult readership today-and the role this plays in shaping their vision of the future.

Its research assumes that the dystopias of the past have largely become the realities of today. He studies the extent to which texts, past and present, are inspired by the real political, societal, technological and ideological developments of their time. It aims to show the link between fictional dystopias and the world we live in through fashion, the second most polluting sector in the world, and aims to positively revolutionize it by alerting its consumer through a post-apocalyptic universe.
